Elearning Design and Production

We build some of the best elearning in the world. And when we say elearning, we mean that in the broadest sense. We use our knowledge of brain science, memory and attention to design highly effective digital learning experiences in a number of forms. This can include short online tutorials (traditional elearning), but also scenarios, business simulations and games.

We always take time to understand the business issue you are trying to address, the likely causes, how it manifests, the audience and your technology. We then design the very best solution, tightly focussed on improving your peoples' performance and addressing the issue.

Typically we build these with the author tools our customers use, so they can maintain the solutions without having to come back to us. We prefer to build in HTML5 so our digital learning solutions work cross-device, enabling users to access them wherever they are.

Performance Support

In organisations today, employees often need to follow complex processes in order to achieve a business-critical goal. The trouble is that often these processes change, might be done infrequently, or may take place over many months or even several years. Putting together an elearning tutorial for something someone needs to do in six month's time is nonsensical - they simply won't remember it. This makes it very difficult for employees to follow the process well and achieve the best outcomes for the organisation.

To answer this need, we design and build bespoke performance support tools that employees access in real time as they follow the process. We make these accessible from multiple devices, simple to use and easy to update. Often these tools gather data about how they are being used, so they can be continually improved.

Example of social learning

Social Learning

Sometimes the best way to solve a business issue is by unlocking the collective intelligence of the audience and helping people to connect. The first thing we do is take a look at our customers' existing social tools, how these are being used and any barriers to adoption.

If the existing tools aren't fit for the job, we design and build social learning systems (essentially social networks) usually hosted within the customer's firewall. These are often based around a role, a process or a complex task and typically enable users to find others with the experience and expertise they need.

70:20:10 is one of this year's buzzwords, the idea being that most learning happens informally on-the-job. Our social learning systems provide the structures which encourage informal learning, making it easy to find the right content and people to get the job done.

Goalgetter

One popular and particularly effective form of social learning has been our goal-based learning systems. After building several of these for our customers we decided to build our own - 'Goalgetter' - and provide it as software-as-a-service. This means that now organisations can get the benefit of a performance-focussed, social form of learning without having a bespoke system built for them.

Goalgetter improves performance by helping people to identify their skills gaps, then suggesting specific goals, tailored to the individual’s needs. Learning is transferred into the workplace through real-world activities associated with these chosen goals. These activities develop behaviours and skills that ensure the goals are met.

Goalgetter is social and collaborative, making the most of existing knowledge and expertise within your organisation, facilitating informal learning. Rateable resources and a cloud based, mobile approach also provide instant access to vital information on the go, all allowing your workforce learning to be truly agile.
