Case Study: L&D Evolution for global construction consultancy

The Issue
As a global company employing 16,000 staff in 150 countries, our client’s learning team is based all around the world. They were already talented and experienced but wanted to further build their capabilities in performance consulting and learning design.
Their team’s lead recognised a need to standardise the way they were all working, to improve consistency and promote excellence. The team also wanted to develop and enhance their own skills further, so that they could be fully able to support their organisation’s learning into the future. They also needed to better help subject matter experts to accurately analyse project needs and develop their own learning content.

The Challenge

The Solution
The client asked LAS to run the L&D Evolution programme to take their learning team to the next level. We worked together to define their goals and identify which of the L&D Evolution Stages would be most beneficial for them.
As well as becoming more consistent across countries, they were particularly interested in becoming more human-centred in their learning design. They wanted to learn how to effectively apply our Next Generation Learning tools and techniques.
The client’s learning team is very forward-thinking and wanted to challenge and push themselves beyond choosing solutions because they are convenient or comfortable. They understand the importance of learning in helping people in their organisation perform at their best and want to make sure their learning offer builds capability and enables agility.

The Results
The client’s learning team has an ambition to be a centre of excellence in all they do. L&D Evolution has provided the foundations and future direction of travel for this and by implementing what they have learned, they are well on their way. It's been a privilege to accompany them on this journey.
